If you don't have those signs on the site but the site is nevertheless secure, well, it's your call. They might still be secure, but then, it is just that you have to exercise caution. 3) Keep that Card tucked in a safe: It is best if you avoided using your card online entirely. You could use alternative payment options like pay pal, world pay or something else that might be available. However, if you had no choice and have to get to a credit card do look at the above mentioned points. Whatever you do, do not send your credit card details in an email to anyone, no matter who they claim to be. Your bank or card company would never do that. 4) Shopping isn't reversible, in most cases: watch out for what you are looking to buy. Think twice before you decide to check out. If you have a funny feeling that the offer you are considering is too good to be true, you might be right. 5) The cost isn't just that, look for more: With most cases in online shopping, the price that you see listed won't be the same billed on your next card bill. Did you consider the shipping, VAT, and all the other extras that you might incur? Also, did you take note of the currency fluctuations? All of it matters and it is best if you knew what you are about to shell out. 6) When you aren't looking, when you are being unaware, there are these malicious minded individuals manning the internet, patrolling the cyber highways and lying out there in the scary dark, waiting to pounce on all that you got. It's time you watch your back, or at least watch what you do online? |
